You and I lived in a different era. When I graduated from high school I went
to work for the Wurlitzer Co. to make money if I chose to go to college. When I decided to go 3 years later I didn't rely on mom or dad (already retired)for help. Put myself through 4 years of college and 2 of graduate school. In the off school summer I worked and bought my own car. Did not ever cross my mind to get food stamps. These entitlements will ruin our country. If you want something WORK for it. You had the right idea! Your better off because of it.
