Needed: Will Rogers

Every once in a while a real gem of a human being arises, and the great Will Rogers was certainly that.

Though he barely finished grade school, he went on to be a great humorist and satirist who was able to bring clarity to the issues of his day the way no man could. He was taken way too early, at 56, when the plane he was traveling in went down in Alaska in 1935.

I don't know of any time when such a fellow isn't needed, and we could certainly benefit from Will Rogers about now. All he knew he read in the papers... and he never met a man he didn't like.

Click here to enjoy some of the wit and wisdom of a great American humorist.
